why people needs cellphone?

many people use cellphone, but why did they have one? out of 100 cellphone user i've survey in random places all over Jakarta, and few active chatters, the result are: (result are taken as the first thing they reply):
33% - "of course for making calls and sms" (me: "i know that ^^")
27% - "for connecting with ppl" (me: "a slogan of a popular brand")
15% - "chat and internet related" (me: "me too")
10% - "everybody needs their best pal" (me : "i think i'm asking why?!?")
9% - "mobility"
6% - "work" (me: "me me me...")

well, most of their answer actualy similar, but in different order.. so that's cellphone for active user.. then i do one more survey and out of 100 random people i met on the street - out of different culture and maybe social degree - the result:
44% - have cellphone, bought by them self
39% - have cellphone, being given or got prize
17% - don't have cellphone

so 17 out of 100 don't have cellphone, under a very small amount of participant (100 people) i don't think the number can be represented as the bigger participant would result, but i know one thing that not only those people in higher society use cellphone as cellphone becomes cheaper and cheaper these day, and surprisingly there are 2 participant that state as i quote "saya tidak butuh-butuh amat" (i don't really need one) and "hp gak bagus untuk kesehatan" (cellphone are not good for your health) this comes from a house-wife and a students..
so this way we know the upside and downside regarding cellphone and its use, but anyway this is why people needs cellphone ^^

reason am making this blog is to show how fun is it to do something with your cellphone, especially smart phones, my way.. i'll give presentation too about how to take care your palm gadgets, various usefull application and may be some interesting and fun games to came along.. so stay tune up for some updates...
